It gives a way to access your local network while connected to your employer’s VPN, even if this VPN is supposed to “jail” your network communication and to force them to use the VPN link and its default gateway.

That home office of yours is way better than some campus offices I know. Congrats!

I love this idea and I love Tuff Sheds. I live in Nederland, CO where we have Grandpa in a Tuff Shed. He’s dead and he’s frozen. He’s a frozen dead guy. Google Tuff Shed Nederland or Grandpa Bredo if you want to know more.

I just bought a home here in Ned and am trying to get an office set up that is outside the home. Right now I am in the third bedroom and it is okay, but I hope to have 24″yurt soon. I will need the snow, wind and insulation package, and that increases the price, but I am confident I’ll be able to order one next year and get the platform built in the spring. You can see Pacific Yurts at http://www.yurt.com. I am not affiliated with them (hmmm, that might be a good idea) but I’ve been getting catalogues from them for about 20 years.

Thanks for sharing your photos and information. I am definitely envious of your space as I sit here working at the kitchen table.
